Tea Cups and Chocolate

What a wonderful combination on some days!  I have recently, in the last year, found many pretty bits of china floating about in local shops.  I always buy a piece simply because it's beautiful in some way that speaks to me.  Some pieces turn out to have great monetary value, other pieces probably never will, but I still find then lovely.  Actually, I remember hearing once that when it came to antiques, ugly is still ugly even after two hundred years!  Which would really explain why some antique clothing has survived.  Most of the really gorgeous things have been worn to bits already!

Anyway, I was petting some of my more delicate pieces of china this evening and admiring other bits I've found.  My husband is a decent guy, but really, chatter of tea cups and makers isn't ... well ... his cup of tea!

I will be posting pictures of some of my prettier china and glass bits as well as what I know of them over the next few months.  It's a slow thing.  A task I will take pleasure in as I heal and as I share a small, fragile part of my world with you.

Until next we meet!
